Stray is a rock-based performance adaptation of Tanya Marquardt’s memoir, co-created with Tim Carlson and director Mallory Catlett.
Vancouver multi-disciplinary performer Tanya Marquardt moved to New York City three years ago to be alone and write Stray, her memoir about her years as a teen runaway. Stray (formerly titled Duets for One) adapts scenes from her memoir into a cabaret-style montage-alogue, integrating the influence of New York underground culture with music.
Stray features performer Tanya Marquardt, musician and Conspiracy artistic producer Tim Carlson, and musicians Jon Wood (guitar/bass) and Ed Goodine (drums).
Stray premiered as Duets for One at Club PuSh 2014.
