Fractional Jets - Treading - The Race [2010]

Commissioned by subTerrain magazine, Tim Carlson’s business scam tragedy Fractional Jets and Charles Demers’ exercise equipment comedy Treading are both short monologues that respond to Vancouver post-Olympics.

Fractional Jets takes us on a personal flight inside an ‘only-at-the-Olympics’ scam.

Treading jogs you through one man’s quest to sell his treadmill after an Olympic-inspired pledge to get in shape loses its appeal.

Charles Demers and Ryan Beil also presented a reading of their comedy-in-progress, The Race, about the misadventures of two journalists who met at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics and are covering the 2012 Olympics in London, UK.

This one-night event set the stage for a Theatre Conspiracy production of these works next season.
