Thom Pain (based on nothing) by Pulitzer Prize nominee Will Eno was given its Canadian premiere by Theatre Conspiracy, directed by Richard Wolfe and featuring Vancouver actor Scott Bellis. Lighting and set design by Del Surjik. Stage Managed by Mary Kavaunagh. Theatre Conspiracy launched its 10th anniversary season with Thom Pain (based on nothing) as a satellite show at the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival in Vancouver. The production ran Jan. 11-15, 2006 at Performance Works, Granville Island.

“Thom Pain is brainy, stream of consciousness material that’s almost impossible to pull off and it’s the kind of risky theatre that Western Theatre conspiracy (WTC) revels in. Think back to the searing Blue/Orange and Tim Carlson’s Omniscience of seasons past. If you want to be shaken up, WTC is for you.”  – Jo Ledingham, Vancouver Courier

“Played with bilious brilliance by Scott Bellis.” Jerry Wasserman, The Province
